hello.,

AppleVis founder, David Goodwin had a health scare. he had a lot of illness, and his hands are deffenatly nlt the same, and he has lost feeling in them. he made a post which shocked users and the editorial team. he outlined reasons for its closer, citing, bullying, drama, being a sole propriatorship at first, and everybody were volenteers, on top of their full-time jobs. ApppleVis was born out of the need to have one sentral place for information on apple products and services in one place. for years David lonched a donation platfore, dubed Club AppleVis, when Amazon stopped providing the afiliet links for products mentioned on the site, effectivly squasing AppleVis's wqay to monatise. then David desided to close the site. for forteen years, he says, he has missed family oppertunities, to run AppleVis. he loved it! now, he had to reevaluate his pation project. he concluded AppleVis had to go. after making the ennicial post, an outcry from the AppleVis community was started. people lamented iot's closer. there were offers of coders, server adminastraters, and users were understandable in histaricsd, and me, being one of those users, there had been a meeting with Be y Eyes. David has no recolection of this! it was describered they had the same values and mission, and in September, AppleVis reopened, under the studartship of be my eyes. there were leagle issues, and SppleVis could have been sude, as content is for AppleVis exclusively. toda6, ASppleVis is back as it once was, with differences. new forum areas are added, there is a link to download be my eyes, and David stepped down form the AppleVis editorial team. also Thomas Donville, has one of two paid positions, the site is overseen by be my eyes, yet, maintains autonamey. because of all this, the AppleVis podcast will never be on Sero. if it was, one of two things would happen. either AppleVis would be sude, and be forced to close perminently, or nuema Salutions would be sude, and all company assets would be not maintained, and eventually, Pnuema Salutions would have no choice to go out of business, thereby alenating its user base. Pnuemas Salutions made miss steps. they built FSerotalk and arm with podcasts on assistive technology confrences, Android, iOS, and a podcast which was primarely one sentreing on genneral blindness talk, and other mainstream things. Serotalk never paid its costs, according to someone I don't remember the name of, tripple click home, the iOS podcst, that Android show, the android podcast, and Serotek began a journey in maintenence mode. Mat Camble., lead programmer for the company, left Serotek to persu bigger oppertunities, on the Narrator tem. then Mike kelbo, the visionary, thoughrt of a new venture, scribe for meetings. then, Mat left icrosoft, to make a new company. they are not getting sales as excepted, and we're fortunet Sero exsists at all. so begging for new features, beth, when Pnuema salutions do not have the same funding sources, is crass. and asking about adding described content, when the company appears to be on the brink of closer, or at least it seems, is not right. the content is what it is. Pnuema Salutions priority is just survivel right now. yeah, we're blind, but the reality is, noone knows about the company or it's products and servidces, in the sited world. frankly, I am surprised the company lasted this long! be greatful for what we have.

first off, I'd like to apolagise for speculating of Pnuma salutions possibley shutting down! down. I am this is far from the case! yes ... Technology has changed and the world, too! Serotek was a first of its kind assistive technology company. I wish I knew about it before 2010. although Sero is not well-known in the sighted world, it is invaluable, opens up a new way of watching movies and tv shows, sighted people, may or may not know about. Netflix, being the most ubicquatis among the sighted, still has video. audio only described video is forin to most. it opens eyes and forgis empathy, which no streaming service can match. to that end, I'd like to thank the Pnuma Salutions team, and Serotek, of years past, for providing this services. Freedombox, I wish I could've had one! for disrupting the assistive technology industry, with system access, the first to go 64 bit, with Windows Vista, the first to abolish software maintence agreements, the first to provide an online, free, screen reader, for a time, depending on voice used, and the first to intagrate email, messaging, and so much more ... the bible and other audio dramas, both non dramatized and non-dramatized, recipes, newspapers, magazines, voice chat, forums, and it's still around! Clango, though more widely known in the blind community, quickly was userped by MySpace, and Facebook, was a good startingpoint! Freedombox, and later, SAMNet and Sero, which I was a SAMNet subscriber, having created accounts with fake phone numbers to get access, was invaluble to my high school education, and when I could afford it, bought the anual subscription! I was a proud beta tester of Sero, one day one, and helpped shape it through the beta testing process, and was relishing the oppertunity to provide feedback, it was amazing! thanks for all Mike, Matt, and the pnuma salutions team for all you do! may you continue to have success for years to come!

I certainly look forward to the reintroduction of the lifetime sub, because I'll be happy to purchase one. I came late to this particular party and, ironically, from the Mac and iOS. And I regard both platforms as in many ways now more philosophically compatible with the ethos of SAMNet than Windows is. Even so, in the past paying for the subscription would have been harder to justify for me in the past; the content library is much larger now, even if the forums are much quieter. And DocuScan Plus is unique in its class for Mac users.

So I hope the opportunity for a lifetime sub comes up again, and cheers for the community. Perhaps you could at least consider making in-app purchases for iOS and macOS universal.
