Cheng: Re: problems with System Access on start up
Here's a copy of the email portion they sent me after reporting this bug to Pneuma Solutions technical support.
"Since no other users have reported this issue, it's been decided that we can't justify allocating resources to pursue a solution to this issue. The following factors were considered when making this decision:
1. The uniqueness of this issue - no other users have reported this problem. 2. When the issue occurs, you are able to clear it by repairing or reinstalling System Access. 3. System Access has been in end-of-life status for quite some time. As such, our maintenance efforts are limited to maintaining compatibility with the current version of Windows and fixing reproducible bugs that have been reported by multiple users.
I would suggest that you may want to consider the following strategy to work around the issue:
1.Set NVDA or Narrator to run at the Windows login screen and uncheck the box in System Access so it doesn't start at the login screen. 2. Make sure that NVDA or Narrator aren't set to start after Windows login, and make sure System Access is set to start after Windows login.
NVDA can be downloaded from nvaccess.org and is free."
