Sebby: System Access on ARM
This is probably a long shot, but I'll ask anyway: any chance of the System Access suite on Windows-on-ARM?
I know SA is in maintenance mode. Fair enough, but surely the application portions of it—Sero, and DocuScan Plus—should be possible to run standalone on ARM Windows?
And what about the voices? I know the purchase was for SA, but they were still purchased as part of a bundle for self-voicing the applications, for which SA just happened to be the screen reader. Since they can be run without SA, does it not make sense to arrange somehow to expose those voices to Windows for use by NVDA or other screen readers?
Thoughts? Anyone tried installing on ARM and how far did they get?

What is ARM?
Concerning purchased voices for System Access, I would definitely love to be able to use my Neo Speech voices with NVDA.

It's a processor architecture, just as Intel is. Some PCs and all modern Macs are now ARM-based, and run ARM-based versions of Windows. This version of Windows includes emulation for running Intel programs, but it doesn't always work for programs that have drivers in them for instance, where you have to have matching code for the system architecture.

Thank you for explaining.

The Pi machines have arm processors also.

Arm is a type of processor and I do not believe System Access or other Sero products would run in that environment.

I have no idea what you all are talking about on this thread. LOL!

The licenses for the voices only allow for their use with SA. If we opened them up for use with other applicaitons we would violate the terms of the licenses.

Disappointing but, ultimately, unsurprising.
What about the other part—getting the apps (and in particular Sero and DocuScan) over to ARM (or at least running correctly under the Prism emulator)?
