I finally bought SA a few years ago, for completeness and to support Pneuma Solutions. It recalls an earlier and pleasanter age, but honestly it's basically graveyardware at this point, considering you already have NVDA and Narrator. You might like to pick it up for the few quirks it has, like deep Sero integration; otherwise, maybe not.
If you're just looking to keep your options open right now, Dolphin are doing a 50% discount on Supernova Screen Reader (formerly Hal), presumably to capitalise on Vispero's reckless price changes. You might check that out.

Cheng: Re: Considering System Access
I think you should have alternate screen readers beside SA because staff won't update it anymore including the Sero server. The reason I say this is because SA won't read the menu when you right click on a file or folder in file explorer and the desktop anymore. You will have to use either narrator, NVDA, or Jaws to do these basic functions. This feature only work with window 10 or older and won't work well with window 11. Also, SA won't read any of the search suggestions when you start typing in the start window search box page. Press the window key and start searching in window 11 and you won't hear any pop-up search suggestions as you type like window 10. It won't let you see the rest of the options in some web pages and settings. You will only see some while you can see more settings if you use other screen readers other than SA. What I'm saying here is true, but I do enjoy SA more if it work as it should from trhe past because the platform is very easy to use and you don't have to navigate through so many areas before you reach where you want the computer to go or do what you want it to do.
