marcus w: transferring content to the Victor Reader Stream 3

Is there any additional information concerning transferring Sero content to the VR Stream 3?
I seem to remember someone saying that the newest VR Stream could no longer handle Sero content.

DRM strikes again!

It is a little disconcerting that Sero still uses it.

The real issue with the Victor Reader Stream v3 is that the port interface protocols were changed in major ways, which rendered Sero unable to exstablish a connection and transfer data to the device. DRM isn't the issue here.

Yes, the Stream moved to MTP. As a Mac user I'm not madly in love with this change, however it wouldn't be a problem if you could simply save the files on any filesystem, just as the Overdrive app does. Instead you have to deal with the specific players being correctly recognised, which of course then means that the new Stream isn't supported. This seems very unfortunate.

No doubt Serotek/PS have deals for the content but only if these restrictions are added. But I think it's a problem in our market. This feature is Windows-only, but you can still use the iOS app standalone, so that's a mainstream option for portable devices.
