Leisa's 42nd Anniversary Poem
Forty-two years ago, this very day,
The words "I do", I heard you say.
It made me so happy, to call you my bride,
And to have you every day, right here by my side.
It's not all been fun, there's been some storm clouds above,
But the one thing that's been constant, is your forever love.
There are many other paths, you could have taken in life,
But I thank God every day, that you are my wife.
God gave you a special heart, to love like you do,
The one's He made like you, are so very few.
The way you care for your sons, your grandkids and me,
Your love for God shines through, and it's plain to see.
So Leisa I want you to know, how blessed that I feel,
And I know without a doubt, we're right in God's will.
So today ends forty-two, and tomorrow starts forty-three,
Let's make it the best ever, for you and for me.
