Ephesians 4:32 (NKJV) 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Who do we need to be kind, tenderhearted and forgiving toward today?
This is a good reminder not to leave any unforgiveness lingering on in our hearts.
The one thing that keeps us in a state of bitterness is leaving unforgiveness untended to.
It doesn't matter how many times we laugh throughout the day. That doesn't prove anything.
The bitterness toward that person or situation is still there if we cannot be kind, gentle or find it in ourselves to forgive them.
The bitterness lives on, and it gets harder and stronger as each day passes.
"Oh, but I forgot all about what they did to me. I'm over it."
No, that's a lie from the enemy. Forgetting does not mean we are over it.
There's no getting over it if we can't forgive them. It will live on in our hearts. It may be hidden pretty good, but we're not over it. Stop pretending.
We will know when we are over it by these 3 very important requests God asks of us to be toward them.
Being Kind, being gentle, and forgiving them.
