A radical truth
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. – 1 Thess. 4:16-17
Here’s a radical, life changing truth for you. Are you ready for it?
In 1 Thessalonians 4 Paul tells us that “the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive who are left, will be caught together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.”
The radical truth that ought to change everything about the way we live is that Jesus is coming back.
That moment is coming. We don’t know when, but we do know it will happen. This isn’t meant to scare us—it’s meant to awaken us.
What would change if you woke up each morning with that promise fresh on your heart? What would happen if you lived today like Jesus might return tonight?
Let your heart be always ready to say: “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20)
