A Slave to Nothing
Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.”
Exodus 14:13, ESV
Pharaoh initially let the Israelite slaves leave Egypt but later came chasing them because he saw them as his property. You need to tell Pharaoh, tell the enemy, tell the past, tell the addiction, “You don’t own me. I was bought with a precious price. I belong to the God who spoke worlds into existence. I’m not your slave; I’m His child.” You have to know who you are and who you belong to. Fear doesn’t own you. Poverty doesn’t own you. An addiction doesn’t own you. Don’t see it as your master, as though it’s so powerful that you’ll never be free. No, it cannot stay. Your body is a temple of the Most High God.
You are not a sick person trying to get well. You’re a well person fighting off sickness. You’re not a poor person trying to get ahead. You’re a prosperous person fighting off poverty. You are not a slave to any negative thing. God created you to be free, healthy, whole, and victorious. It’s just a matter of time before what comes against you changes in your favor.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that the negative things of my past have no right to hold me back from the good things You have in store for me. Thank You that I am Your child and a slave to nothing. I declare that I am free and moving up to the next level You have for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
