Three things you can count on
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. - 2 Corinthians 1:20
There are many things that will go wrong today. Some of your plans will fall through. Some of your dreams will hit dead ends. Some of your people will let you down.
In the midst of the chaos, here are three things you can count on today no matter what:
First, God's love will never fail you. The world may shift beneath your feet, but God’s love is an unshakable foundation that will remain. It’s a love that’s constant, faithful, and never dependent on circumstances. When everything else fades, His love will endure.
Second, God's mercy will not run out on you. As sure as the sun rises, God's mercies are new every morning. They never come to an end. No matter how many times you fall short or feel inadequate, God’s mercy is abundant and never exhausted. There's so much hope in this truth.
Three, God's presence will never leave you. No matter what you do today, and no matter where you go, the one thing you can be sure of is that God’s presence will be there with you. Whether in moments of joy or hardship, He is always near. You are never alone, and this truth anchors us when we feel overwhelmed by life's uncertainties.
I don't know about you, but I need to be reminded of the basics every so often. I need truth I can hang on to when everything around me is shifting sand.
